Greetings all; we have been experimenting with FITS at the University
of Michigan's Bentley Historical Library and, in reviewing the tool's
output, we have been unsure as to what the <fslastmodified> elelment
in the <fileinfo> section refers and what the associated numerical
string signifies. I have included an example below:

<fslastmodified toolname="OIS File Information" toolversion="0.1"
status="SINGLE_RESULT">1285099695000</fslastmodified>

Many thanks in advance!

Kind regards,

Hi Michael,

<fslastmodified> is a value representing the time the file was last modified, as reported by the file system.  The value is a Unix time stamp, which is the number milliseconds since January 1st 1970.

1285099695000 is equal to 12 / 13 / 01 @ 2:45:52pm
