Upcoming RE Events:

YOU ARE INVITED!  INTERGENERATIONAL ART ACTIVITY
June 5th from 4 to 5:30pm
Please join Pam, Jenny and a group of children and adults from First Parish as we travel to Newbury Court to join residents and friends there for an intergenerational art activity.  We will use scissors, paper, glue and have some good old-fashioned fun as we decorate the bags for the Caring Connection.  The Caring Connection uses these bags when they take food to parishioners who are ill or whose families are having a difficult time.  Don't miss it!  This is a chance to do something good for others while having fun getting to know each other better as well.

Two Youth Travel Opportunities Next Year!

Our UU Roots:
We are planning a Parent/Teen Pilgrimage to our partner church in Transylvania in July of 2013.  This trip is for Middle School and High School youth WITH their parent.  This will be a unique opportunity for Intergenerational Family Travel to our Unitarian roots.

Our UU Wings:
We are planning a Youth Service Trip to El Salvador in April of 2013.  This trip is for High School Youth and Chaperones.

Interested in learning more?  Please come to an informational meeting on Sunday, May 20th at 5:30 pm.

Youth Community Service

Looking for Community Service hours?  The First Parish Garden is perfect for teens.  Send me an email if you want to learn more about this opportunity for teens.

Regular Program for 0-1st Graders

2nd - 5th Spring Term, Week 3:  Earth Centered Practices, Honoring our Earth

6th Grade Youth Group - Social Action:  Organic Gardening for Social Justice

Our 6th graders made so much progress last week!  This week, they will be planting POTATOES!   Planting and harvesting potatoes is like magic: you hide one in the ground and come back in the fall to find many.  The fishes and the loaves?  Maybe!

Please wear gardening gloves, bring a rake and a big shovel (leave outside on the front porch of the Meeting House at 5 minutes past the hour (9:05 or 11:05)) and dress appropriately for the weather.
