Guys (gender-non-specific) -

I have been using Firebug successfully for some time - but now, for
some strange reason, it seems as though the text editor in the CSS
window is disabled.

I can not find the option to re-enable it. Any suggestions?

I am on Mac 10.5.2, Firefox 3.X and running Firebug 1.4.2.

Thanks in advance.

I am having the same problem (cannot edit CSS or HTML). I can click on
a webpage see the HTML and CSS, but when I try and double click or
right click and choose edit, nothing happens. I can still disable
individual css elements, just not edit or add new ones. It seems to
have happened when I upgraded to firefox 3.5.3. Is there a new read
only mode?

I am using Windows Vista, Firefox 3.5.3 and Firebug 1.4.2

Which CSS? I guess any user agent CSS like html.css is now read-only
(otherwise it crashes Firefox).

this happens to me too, where something (I haven't isolated what)
causes a situation where I can view the CSS tab and disable particular
attributes like usual, but cannot edit or add, or delete. only
restarting firebug doesn't make a difference, I have to then close out
of and restart Firefox entirely for it to behave normally again. it's
only started happened recently, and it's happened on several
occasions.

My environment is XP Pro 64 / Firefox (Portable) 3.0.4 / Firebug
1.4.2.

Is the an issue report on this problem with a test case?

Jeremy, the last post on this was four years ago. Things changed a lot since then.

Try disabling firebug and then reenabling it. Worked for me.
