Hi,

FirePhp 0.7.1 is no longer working with Firebug 1.11 alpha 6. It was working with alpha 5.

What should I do to see the problem?

I tested that and looks like working for me.

Sorry for my late response!

1 - With Firebug 1.11 alpha 6 and FirePhp 0.7.1, open http://tomtomexpert.comxa.com/rw/ (tested on Windows7 with FF16.0.2 and a new profile with only these add-ons,  -no-remote mode)
2 - Activate these options http://imm.io/L2H1
3 - Look at the console after refreshing the page
--> The headers of the POST requests don't contain Firephp stuff and the debug response from Firephp doesn't appear. http://imm.io/L2Ho
4 - Install Firebug 1.11 alpha 6 and reactivate the panels and Firephp options
5 - Refresh the page
--> The headers of the POST requests contain Firephp stuff and the debug response from Firephp appears. http://imm.io/L2HI

This time we are sorry for the late response!

I can reproduce the problem and I can see an error in the Firefox Error Console:

Honza, may this be related to your efforts in issue 5846?

I can't see the FBTrace error. What exactly should I do?

Note that I am seeing:

EXCEPTION in Events.dispatch onResponseBody: TypeError: file is null
in chrome://firephp/content/lib/firephp.js:533

  1. Install Firebug 1.11b1 and FirePHP 0.7.1 on a new Firefox 16.0.2 profile.
  2. Open Firebug on http://tomtomexpert.comxa.com/rw/

Note that I also enabled all panels, though this doesn't seem to be necessary to reproduce the issue.

Note that I am seeing:

EXCEPTION in Events.dispatch onResponseBody: TypeError: file is null
in chrome://firephp/content/lib/firephp.js:533
I do not see this error on my WinXP machine.

I can only reproduce the FBTrace error :)

You need FirePHP and FBTrace installed.

But this FBTrace error should happen with all extension registrations?

Not for me. I really just have Firebug and FirePHP installed.

Didn't test that yet. Will do that later.

No. I tried with Illuminations 1.1.22 and didn't see that error.

- I was finally able to reproduce the FBTrace error.
- Related issue here: http://code.google.com/p/fbug/issues/detail?id=6078
- Firebug test build attached.
- Please let me know if it works for you.

Thanks!
