Sounds like the menu would deserve some optimization.

Would it be possible to access your page (debug version)
so, we can see the problem on our machines?

I tried this with the attached test case and for me the Location Menu reacts normally fast on my old PC.

I couldn't reproduce the problem either (having tested the
application developed by Stephen, using a private access).
