I can't reproduce the problem on my machine, using this test:
https://getfirebug.com/tests/head/console/spy/2868/issue2868.html

Here is what I am doing:

1) Opening Firebug in a new window (detached)
2) Enabling the Console panel
3) Loading https://getfirebug.com/tests/head/console/spy/2868/issue2868.html
4) Clicking the button on the page
5) The console shows XHR log

Does this test work for you?
Could you make your page online so we can try it out?

Is the problem still there if you create a new Firefox profile?

  • No Firebug extensions are enabled
In your screenshots I can see at least YSlow and Inline Code Finder, which are still enabled.

If you faced the problem again, you can:

1) backup your Firefox profile directory
(see how to find it: http://kb.mozillazine.org/Profile_folder_-_Firefox)

2) Reset all Firebug options (Firebug menu -> Options -> Reset All
Firebug Options)

3) Compare the backup with the current profile directory and check the
changes.

This could help us to identify/fix the problem.
