Ok... so... I guess i misread DiGi's original fix. I uninstalled and
moved my non-empty profile directory, when it was the program directory that was causing the problem. Perhaps upgrading a 1.5.x FF leaves some junk in the program folder and hoses DOM Inspector somehow. In any case, it appears that none of the extensions I use are to blame. Thanks DiGi. I saved my old program directory, hopefully I'll get time soon to figure out what's different and track this down.
