Please try to install Firebug into a fresh and clean Firefox Profile
(to e.g. avoid possible collisions with other extensions).

I have just tried this on Mac OS X (vbox) and it seems to be working
for me.

Ah, thanks for the update!

I have created an issue for this so, it isn't forgotten here in the
noise:

I have created an issue for this

Thanks Honza!

i've uploaded the new version to https://addons.mozilla.org/en-us/firefox/addon/acebug/versions/?page=1#version-1.10.0
would be great if someone using this could test if anything else needs fixing too.

btw i am considering discontinuing acebug development, since firebug have syntax highlighting now, and acebug is not very popular anyway:(

I didn't test the new version yet. Nickolas, because you seem to be a regular Acebug user maybe you could do that?

Because it offers much more than highlighting, it would be sad if development on Acebug was discontinued. It sounds to me like it just needs some more PR.

The other option is to integrate some of the additional features
directly
to Firebug. Harutyun, would you be interested in that?

I am thinking especially about: Load from file & Save to file

You can create an issue report and so, we have a place to discuss
further
in detail. The load/save concept could be yet improved?
(perhaps we don't have to use the file system necessarily?).

Load from file & Save to file will be easy to integrate into Firebug.
i might be able to do it later.
>(perhaps we don't have to use the file system necessarily?).
do you mean saving to gist or something?

also i use cells and autocompletion a lot, but not sure how to port
that to orion.

or i might keep downloads from github only, it will reduce number of
users even more,
but dealing with amo is the most unpleasant part in addon development.
