Mozilla Mail Client Compatibility?

Hi Firebug is excellent

Is there a version planned that will work with Mozilla-based mail
clients, such as Thunderbird and Postbox? It would be a really really
big help for me as I am developing extensions mainly for Thunderbird.

I have got the same request from couple of other developers recently.
So, yes, I believe this should be included in Firebug road map.

That would require Chromebug. I've used Chromebug on Thunderbird and
at least one active Thunderbird developer uses Chromebug with some
success. The known issues relate to Chromebug's use of 'browser' files
available when you run under Firefox, but not when you run under
Thunderbird. While these are known, I don't have any plans to fix it
so I'm hoping someone comes along.
