I am interested in maintaining an up-to-date release of Firebug Lite,
as included in (the ongoing development of) AnnieDeBrowsa (see
http://novicenotes.net/anniedebrowsa )
I wonder, what is the best way to keep abreast of the release updates,
without membership to its own /development/ list, whereby i'm more
likely to ignore it-- and miss that of which i'm more interested-- the
actual release updates....
uh... dig?
sorry-- i don't know how to talk much. hope it makes sense. to put it
simply, i do enjoy Firebug Lite. I hope to learn of the latest
updates, as they become available.
many thanks,
your friendly neighborhood terdburgler

We have plans to include an "update checker" in Firebug Lite to inform the user that a new version is released. I guess this is what you want, right? I can't promise any date, but we should see this feature in 1.4 version.
If you load a "live" version of Firebug Lite you will be always using the most recent version. So I recommend using the "Stable live link": http://getfirebug.com/firebuglite#Stable
If you host your own copy of Firebug Lite in another server, currently the only way to check for a newest version is visiting our blog, web page or twitter.
