I am using Firebug 1.9.1 in Firefox 9.0.1 on Windows 7. Looking at a
request in Firebug I see four tabs: "Headers", "POST", "Response", and
"JSON".

I want to copy the "POST" text, but try as I might I cannot seem to
get it into the clipboard. I highlight it with the mouse and press
Ctrl-C, I highlight and right-click and choose "Copy", but whatever I
try I cannot get the POST text into the clipboard.

Any advice?

Please create a new report here:

and I'll fix it. There should be a menu-item "Copy Posted Data" (or a better label?)  in the context menu.

But this works for me.

I had this same issue, it turns out I was looking for the wrong item. The actual menu item is: "Copy Location with Parameters", which will copy the entire request url + POST data as url params.

Hope this helps!
