v1.4.0b5 has so many bugs, it needs its own firebug.

Ok, what the hell happened to Firebug in this new version?? (BTW, i'm
using firefox 3.5)

The super awesome and easy shortcut to inspect HTML elements (command-
shift-c) works maybe half of the time. The other half the time, it is
unresponsive and does nothing.

Also, how come when I click "Back" in my browser, the firebug pane
will randomly show itself on pages I've visited before?? Its as if its
anticipating my need for the firebug when I dont AT ALL!!!

The "Close" button within the popup firebug pane also seems to work
arbitrarily. And a lot of the time, the HTML tab contents never show
themselves. One must click "Console" and then "HTML" again to see HTML
source in the inspector. (This has been a bug for as long as I can
remember)

????? Why does an add on that helps you FIND bugs, have more than its
fair share of its own bugs in the first place?

What happened to moving forwards? And not backwards??

Can anyone point me in the direction of an older release of firebut?
because v1.5 is the WORST.

No reports on this problem.

I believe this is a Firefox 3.5 bug.

Too bad you did not report it.

If you have specific bugs to report, please do so. Generic ranting
does not count.

I am having some similar issues, with firebug popping up randomly
(also in 3.5).

My biggest issue is that anytime i edit the css it freaks out and
clears the tag and screws up my whole styling. I basically cannot
touch the css.

Please try Firebug 1.4b6 or 1.5a10 from http://getfirebug.com/releases.

Jeez people...this tool is open source and free and has made all our lives a
lot easier. How about ratcheting back the rhetoric a little bit. If the
devs keep getting abuse hurled at them, they might not want to continue with
the project.

Thanks Josh! Nevertheless we appreciate anyone who takes the time to
report on their experiences. If people are frustrated, then we want to
look to the cause and see if we can fix it. We can't always fix it,
but for sure we can't if we don't know about it.
