Firebug and Jetpack

I am running Win 7 and FF 3.5.3 I have Firebug 1.4.3 installed and
enabled for the Jetpack tutorial page, but I get the "You don't have
Firebug..." error message (from the Jetpack Tutorial page) anyway.

In the Firebug javascript tab, I see:

Failed to load source for sourceFile URLOnly about:jetpack script.tags
( )

Any advice on how I can get the tutorial working properly?

Which web page? I remember someone asking about jetpack+firebug but
nothing else happened as far as I know.

Hi,

According to my test since Firebug is not compatible with Jetpack
(0.5, 0.6pre, etc.) since the version 1.4.3. 1.4.2 works fine but,
1.4.3, 1.4.4, 1.5.x are not recognized by Jetpack.

I've tested Jetpack 0.6 with Firebug 1.4.2 and 1.5b3, both in Firefox
3.6b1 and Firefox 3.5.4, and had no luck at all. If you try to code a
jetpack and do console.log() inside it you can't output your debugging
to Firebug, it goes directly into the Firefox Error Console.

As this is one of the most advertised capabilities of jetpack (that
you can debug in Firebug, not reinventing the wheel), I think we (or
the jetpack developers) should see what's going on. And that bug
report in bugzilla could be the starting point...

As Steven says, is the new platform that Mozilla is developing to ease
the process of creating add-ons. A lot of effort is being put on it
and firebug is announced as the best way to debug the "jetpacks", so
it would be nice for the two extensions to work together out of the
box. I could fill the report in bugzilla with more information,
because I'm very interested in this jetpack thing. Maybe tomorrow I
can look deeper into this.
