I upgraded to v1.5 today and now the inspector isn't working
correctly. When I click on an element, the element isn't selected in
the HTML panel. Is anyone else having the same issue? Or anyone know
what's wrong and how to fix it? Thanks!

Yes - it isn't working correctly... With every upgrade it's working
worse... I've got the same issues. Some elements can't be selected and
can't be expand in inspector

I'm having the same problem, very disappointing! Hopefully there's an
easy local fix for this.

"Mike Radcliffe’s Inspector. A key feature, now solid as a rock,"
This is from blog... You're kidding, right? I've got Windows and FF
3.5.7 and it works terrible. I can't expand all elements. On some
pages I can't even expand <body>. I want a downgrade...

Yes, solid as a rock... Solid as in "that inspector icon isn't going
anywhere anytime soon." But also just like a rock, it's not overly
useful for most tasks. LOL!

Works for me.

Do you have a particular element on a particular page that is causing
the issue? Also, it would be useful for us to know your Firefox
version and your operating system.

If you can let us know this we can work with you to find out whether
it is an issue with your Firefox profile, an extension conflict or a
Firebug bug.

I understand your frustration but if we investigate this properly we
will be able to fix it for you.

netkevin, you said that some elements can't be expanded in the
inspector ... do you mean in the HTML panel?

Yeah, I've heard that FireQuery 0.3 has this effect. You must upgrade
to FireQuery 0.4.1 when upgrading Firebug 1.5.

I reverted to 1.4.5 - it's also painful because after some time it
stops selecting elements on page, but it's better than nothing...

Yes I guess it's the HTML panel I mean;) You know, I can't press "+"
sign to expand. Sometimes there is only <html><head> and <body> and I
can't expand anything. Sometimes it's deeper - I can't expand some
<div> or <li>. There is "+" sign there but I can't do nothing. Also
when you click with right button mouse and select from context menu...
hmm... I don't know how is it in english... I've got polish
version;)... let's say "Inspect element" - it doesn't work either

Thanks a lot!:) Now it works smooth. It'll be probably good to inform
people on blog that they have to upgrade or disable Firequery

Updating from FireQuery 0.3 to 0.4.1 fixed the problem for me! For
some reason, the extension update checker never picked this update up.
I had to update the extension manually from the web site.

Jorge, do you have your profile directory on a different partition
from the firefox.exe? See

He is using the 64 bit build on Ubuntu. This is a typical problem with
that.
