Subject: Worcester LODD Arrangements

Arrangements for  Worcester Firefighter Jon Davies, Rescue Co. 1, who heroically made the supreme sacrifice when trapped in a structural collapse while searching for a reportedly trapped occupant during a third alarm fire the morning of December 8th are as follows:

The viewing will be held on Wednesday, December 14, 2011 from 3:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the Mercadante Funeral Home, 370 Plantation Street, Worcester, Massachusetts 01605, (508) 754-0486.

The funeral will be held on Thursday, December 15, 2011 at 10:00 a.m. at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, 24 Mulberry Street, Worcester, Massachusetts 01605, (508) 752-2964.

A fund has been established at the Worcester Fire Department Credit Union to benefit the Davies children.  Donations may be forwarded to:  The Jon Davies Children’s Fund, 34 Glennie Street, Worcester, MA 01605. http://www.wfdcu.org/

Our thoughts are with the Davies family and the members of the Worcester Fire Department, especially Firefighter Brian Carroll, who remains hospitalized recovering from injuries sustained in the collapse.

Respectfully,

Respectfully,

Chris Johnson, Vice President
