This film noir did not do much for me. Aldrich does not even try to
hide the fact that this was a play. Not only does it mostly take place
in one room, the actors also act like they are on a stage with
emotions all over the place. For some reason that kind of worked for
Rod Steiger. He stole the film, IMO.
