Just saw Ulzana's Raid. A very Grim and realistic western. It is a
little uneven but I'm not sure if that is because it was supposed to
be that way or because I saw a cut version. There where many strange
cuts which might indicate that this was not the full version. I have
always liked Burt Lancaster and I thought he was great in the film. A
true down beaten and tired realist. Bruce Davison was also great as
the young and naive Lt. Garnett DeBuin who only knows two ways in
life, Love (to begin with) and hate (once love makes no sense). 8/10
