to FIGHT! The Fighting Game RPG
I'm going to disappoint myself by looking for some info here.

Has anyone actually had the fortune of playing a campaign from PL 1 to
PL 8?

As I suspect that the only person who can answer "yes" to that is me
(sadly), I'm curious: if you started at PL 1, how high did the game go
before you stopped for whatever reason? Did you start an actual
campaign at a higher PL and if so, why?

Aside from my own curiosity about such matters, I'm trying to get a
sense of the perception of the way the game grows in play for people.
(As you may have heard me bitch about before, playing the game solely
at PL 1 does not really convey the feel of the game as a whole, any
more than playing D&D only at 1st level gives you a sense of that
game).

The Black Dragon Kumite game came to a conclusion but it was plot driven
rather than numerical. The characters were PL 3-4 (the one who became
the "main character" basically) and the defeated the main antagonists
and freed the damsel in distress from her curse.

In my current game the PCs are just wrapping up their first scenario
with a big group battle. Most of the PCs are PL 2.

My last Fight Campaign was my Super Sentai Fight! + Gumshoe game, and it ended with the players @ around PL 6, though for the last session, in Super Sentai fashion, I left them "Power Up" to PL8 for the last fight, and they seemed to like that. As for the campaign itself, it went pretty smoothly once everyone figured out the rules, my lack of hardcopies made this harder for some of my players and so i'll be investing in some once my money situation stabilizes, and worked very well with the Sentai Tropes of getting new weapons / finishing moves over the course of the series. I didn't use Mecha/Zord combat much in this game because combing everyone into one super unit means only one person is playing, works fine for TV, not so much in table top, but i'm thinking about trying it out once Mecha Combiners is released and try doing a Mecha + Fight! Sentai game.

Hey, now! This does my heart some good! I wasn't sure if I'd get any responses and instead I learn of two campaigns that actually started and finished (even if they weren't technically to PL 8).  That's really cool!
