Yes you can. FOX comes with a small program called "ControlPanel" that allows you to change the colors and font of FOX based applications. (it's in the tests directory of the fox-*.tar.gz download). Some distributions like Arch Linux install it by default. GMM specific color setting can be changed in the preferences panel inside GMM.
