That's why there's folx like Yury and I (among others in this echo)
to guide you to the good stuff.  Speaking for most deatheads in this
echo, I would suggest that you send in a measly $2 to the following
address and order a couple compilation CD's.  For starters as far as
deathmetal is concerned, "Death Is Just The Beginning 2" ($14) and
the import version of "Death Is Just The Beginning 3" ($18).  Both of
these CD's have tons of bands.  There's about 20 on DIJTB2 and over 30
on DIJTB3.  And if you want to journey further into some more ambient
and noise (an apt description of a particularly extreme genre), along
with some good death bands, I would suggest the UHF/VHF compilation.
It's only 8 bucks for two CD's of amazing stuff (aside from a couple
crappy bands).  And from there, you just order various stuffs from band
that tickled your fancy (and other body parts...hehe)

$2 to RELAPSE RECORDS, PO BOX 251, MILLERSVILLE, PA, 17551 will get
you a catalog full of underground stuff and really obscure bands.  I've
been into the "scene" a few years now and the music I've found is more
listenable that anything you'll hear on the radio or MTV (but then
again, that's not too hard...hehe)

  Stay Chuffed!
