Subject: Introductions...
Hey everyone,

I was introduced to this group by Letitia Coyne of ErgoFiction,
thought I'd join and toss in my $0.02 as well.

For what it's worth, my name is Nick Bouton and I run a reasonably
large online fiction writing community called Protagonize.com. Some of
you may have heard of it, others not. The site's been around for about
2.5 years now and has garnered a decent amount of attention (not as
much as I'd like, but I'm working on it.)

Protagonize is primarily geared towards fiction writers, and some may
consider it to have less of an emphasis on the reader, but that's more
of a perception thing that I'm trying to change. Protagonize also has
a strong community of collaborative fiction writers, something I
haven't seen a lot of online outside of writing groups and discussion
forums.

I own and operate (and develop) the site myself, with a team of
volunteer moderators who help me keep things under control on a day-to-
day basis. I'm a web software developer by trade, so that's where I'm
coming from primarily, although I have a lot of experience dealing
with the online publishing community, and I'm starting to make some
inroads into the bricks-and-mortar publishing field as well, with
speaking appearances and various interviews.

I haven't had a chance to dig back through the older posts just yet,
but I'll take some time and read what's been discussed so far and see
if I can chime in with my thoughts as well.

I'm also happy to hear/discuss any feedback about Protagonize itself,
so fire away if you have anything to say.

Cheers,
-nick / protagonize
