fhgfs performance problem on storage device

writing single large files in the fhgfs file system result in huge
amounts of small (and very small) files (chunks) written to the
underlying
file system on the storage nodes. This degrades the performance of
fhgfs considerably. Any suggestions?

Hi all, We want to upgrade our whole FhGFS file system to the latest version available r15. We have downloaded and installed the new r15 fhgfs-admon service on our Admon server, but now we aren't sure how to continue. FhGFS Infiniband problem

Hello,
i've set up a small test installation of FhGFS 2011.04.r14 on our
OpenSuse 11.2 based Infiniband cluster
(4 storage nodes, 1 meta node, 2 client nodes), but i can't get it
working with infiniband support.
We use kernel 2.6.31.12-0.1-desktop and a custom OFED version

Network failure for a node and new ID

Good evening, today one of our fhgfs storage nodes was disassociated by a network card failure. We repaired it and put it on line but the management server gave it a new ID. Do you know if there is a procedure to reset the node to its old ID? Sincerly yours, Francesco
