2011.04 r13 java GUI and admon service mismatch

Hello,

 

Yesterday, we updated our RHEL 5.6 metadata and storage servers from r10 to r13.

Now we can’t start java GUI. It shows the error:

 

“The version of the GUI and the version of the backend daemon do not match. Please download the appropriate GUI version from….”

 

We can confirm that the version of de java gui (About->About) is 2011.04-r12.

Hello,

we can reproduce the problem on our test cluster. Tomorrow we will
release a update which fix this problem. As a temporary workaround, you
might want to consider a downgrade to the r12 version of fhgfs admon.

$ yum downgrade fhgfs-admon-2011.04.r12-el5.x86_64
$ /etc/init.d/fhgfs-admon restart
