Matt Herron had a fatal crash in his Lak Mini on Friday, August 7, 2020.
The cause is as yet unknown, but the NTSB is investigating.

Incredibly sad to hear! I’ve known Matt for many years having met at events at Air Sailing (Reno), admired his civil rights photos (amazing) and discussed the merits of FES aircraft. Matt’s enthusiasm for his Mini strongly influenced my choice of an FES equipped aircraft. Wow! Very, very sad. Matt, you are and will be missed....
