In January 2013, the Fermi Project solicted "white papers" from the scientific community and recieved five which detailed specific alternative observing strategies and quantitatively discussed the scientific benefits of each. In August, a panel was convened to review the proposals and recommended a transtion to the option 4 modified survey opservation strategy, or similar, no later than December 2013. For more details on the proposed alternative observation mode, please see the FSSC website.

We would like to solicit comments from the community on the impacts of the recommended observation strategy. Use this forum to provide feedback to the Fermi project on the transition. All posts will be moderated and then will become public. If you have confidential or sensitive information, do not post it here.
