When translating in Word, I've noticed that segments with hyperlinks in
them retain their formatting in the TM, but (as far as I can tell) not
the hyperlink itself. Is there a way to include the hyperlink
information as well? At the moment, I'm getting translations that look
like hyperlinks, but actually are not.
Also, for segments that include hyperlinks, Felix seems to shorten the
length of the hyperlink text by one character on both ends of the link,
so if I had a segment with a link on the expression "click here", Felix
seems to capture only "lick her" as the link text, which is not good for
reasons that should be rather obvious. Is there a way to get Felix to at
least capture the whole link?

I've confirmed most of this behavior: when there's a hyperlink, Felix misses
the blue/underline formatting on the first letter of the link, and the last
letter if it's not the forward slash. I don't know yet why this is
happening, but I've logged it as a bug.
That's also a good idea to have the actual hyperlinks preserved. I'll look
into feasibility, and have set version 1.4.6 as a tentative target to
implement it.

Ryan

I've recently upgraded to Felix 1.5, and this still seems to be
occurring. In a recent assignment, a link reading "グローバル関数," for
example, was shortened in the Felix segment to "ローバル関". Is this a
possible regression, or is it just something that didn't get fixed in
time for Felix 1.4.6? Either way, it's not a significant problem right
now, but I anticipate getting more work with hyperlinks in it soon, so
it would be great if this could be fixed (or fixed again?).
If it makes any difference, this work is being done in Word 2007 (and
in Windows 7, where I'm pleased to report that Felix seems to be
performing flawlessly).

I think that this is a new issue, or at least I wasn't aware of it before.
The old bug (which still isn't fixed*) was that the "blue text/underline"
formatting was left off of the last letter of the link in some cases. I
haven't seen text being dropped altogether before.
I'll look into this.
* The fix for this will be to preserve hyperlinks in Word as hyperlinks in
Felix, rather than just preserving the text formatting.

Ryan

Sorry, that may have been a poor description on the problem on my
part. What you describe above is what happened in this case: the
hyperlink text was correct in the segment, but the formatting included
one character less than it should have on both sides of the link, so
the first and last characters in the link where still there, but not
formatted like the characters in between.
If you edit the source of the record, it looks like this:
グ<U><FONT color=#ffff00>ローバル関</FONT></U>数
When it should look like this instead:
<U><FONT color=#ffff00>グローバル関数</FONT></U>
It's really just a cosmetic problem, but I do look forward to the fix
you describe below:
