I deal with the same situation for the last week or so. I moved to
wordpress and lost 1/3 of my subscribers.
There's a couple of things I notice so far which might prove useful to
you:
1. for some strange reason I had 31 subscribers on the blogspot's
default feed (i.e. *.
blogspot.com/feeds/posts/default). I have no idea
how this happen btw, as i have never published that feed, rather
feedburner's URL instead. But the fact of the matter is that this is
an issue! This certainly explains the loss of 31 (and I will have to
do something about them). So let me suggest to see how many you have
there. U can use Google's webmaster tools.
2. Also I redirected <blog>.
blogspot.com/feeds/posts/default to
feeds2.feedburner.com/<blog> and my 31 left behind seem to getting
feed again (i know cause i've subscribed to the old feed to see what
is going on, and i received the new content). The question to the rest
of the group is.. "Will these subs be added to the feedburner's
overall stats"?
3. What is the difference between <feeds> and
<feeds2> .
feedburner.com ? Which one should be used? I publish
feeds2.feedburner.com/<blog> (which as i recall was suggested by
google) but when i visit my account on google/feedburner i see
feed.feedburner.com/<blog> as Feed Address. Should I change everything
to
feed.feedburner.com/<blog>?
I started having these hunting thoughts as soon as i moved to a
wordpress platform...
Thank you all, I appreciate your feedback.
