There was an overnight change. Now subscribers to your friendfeed get
added into your feedburner subscribers.

For anyone with a Friendfeed account, you may see a big jump in
subscribers.

I like seeing a big jump in subscribers, but I find this artificial.

I publish a full feed from my blog [http://www.compliancebuilding.com]
so subscribers get the same content they would have if they visited
the site. I can lump that into traffic as if they were a site visitor.

But friendfeed merely publishes a headline so those friend feed
subscribers have a very different experience than the ordinary RSS or
email subscribers. In looking at recent traffic, only 10 referrals out
of 7,000 came from friendfeed.

I think I want to eliminate friendfeedagg from my feedburner
subscriber numbers. Anyone know how?

I agree... I was just confused by the sudden jump, from 103 to 180.
I'd like to turn Friendfeedagg off too. How?

Its much worse if you go from 166 to 1,360 because 2 people pipe in
your feeds.

Yeah, this is ridiculous. It's a cheap ploy by Friendfeed (a service I
generally like) to advertise their service and make them seem more
important and influential than they really are.

It's really sloppily implemented, as well. It seems to just take the
number of subscribers to the Friendfeed account that pipes in the blog
feed and counts those as subscribers. I have 49 people subscribed to
my Friendfeed, and what do you know? 49 "subscribers" showing up
through friendfeedagg.

Hopefully the Google/Feedburner people will exclude friendfeedagg from
the subscriber stats and put it in the reach statistic, where it
rightfully belongs.
