Hello:

I deactivated Feedsmith so that I could have a separate feed
for my new category. Goal: two feeds, one feedburner acount,
one domain.

Instead, once Feedsmith was deactivated, it caused an error message
for the original feed and combined the two categories into one
New Feed.

Feedblitz gave me this info, as their email updates showed a combined
feed, as does my Feedburner sign-up sheet, as they checked the original
feed.

Can someone please tell me how to correct this?

Many thanks--

Can you let us know what your feed URL is?

Thank you for your reply, Joe

Feed #1 is feeds.feedburner.com/tspartnerspr/SANA
Feed #2 feeds/feedburner.com/tspartnerspr/Rgot

Some additional details I discovered for Feed #! :

Feedbulletin reported an error 401.
My sign-up link reports a 404 error.
Feed is verified
Feedmedic says everything is fine.

Feed #2

Feedmedic says fine
Verified
Has articles from both feeds on sign-up page.
When I sent first blog article on this new feed, it was
sent from both feeds.

I appreciate your help.

Many thanks,

The problem is that the source feeds for both of your FeedBurner feeds generate the same content, just in different feed formats (RSS 0.92 vs. RSS 2.0). I'm not sure that this is a problem specific to the FeedSmith plugin, as my testing shows that both source feeds (and the FeedBurner feeds) are working just fine right now.

My guess is that if you want to have 2 blogs with separate content in them, and thus separate feeds, I think you need to set up different URL addresses for them, like:
 http://tspartnerspr.com/blog-one/feed/
and
 http://tspartnerspr.com/blog-two/feed/

Hello Joe:

Sorry if I wasn't clear and left out details.

Feedsmith was deactivated, before publishing feed 2,
to allow for two separate feeds.

They have separate categories and addresses.
Whlie these are wordpress categories, they are in fact
two different blogs

Feed 1:

tspartnerspr.com/category/trade-show-tactics
feeds.feedburner.com/tspartnerspr.com/SANA

Feed 2:
tspartnerspr.com/category/media-moment
feeds.feedburner.comtspartnerspr.com

When I click on this link which normally takes me to my sign up
page for feed 1, http://feeds.feedburner.com/tspartnerspr/ASANA,
I get an error message 404 right now.

Can you please tell me how to restore this feed?

Wordpress creates separate feeds for each category.
so I don't understand where the problem is.

My thanks again--

DigitalB.

All you need to do is log into FeedBurner, and change the source feed definition for your feeds, to point them at your new category feeds.

Joe:

I changed the Original Feed to
tspartnerspr.com/category/trade-show-tactics-blog/feed/

It updated correctly.

When I click on my link feeds.feedburner.com/tspartnerspr.com/SANA
I still get the 404 error message.

How do I correct this?

Many thanks for your help.
