Need a simple way of displaying an aggregated feed in my forum

Let's say I wanted to take a folder, or bundle, of feeds about my
town, and wanted to add those feeds to my phpbb forum.

There used to be a mod, now unsupported, which did this. But I thought
with all the technology of feedburner and reader, there must be some
simple code I can paste into the header.

For example, I see that at Feedburner, I can create a "bundle clip",
but this is just a long list of the actual blogs.

What I want would be like a box around perhaps 2-5 simple plain text
lines showing the latest postings, one or two from each blog.
Then it would scroll or fade to the next one. Surely someone must have
made something like this in javascript?! To have it working neatly
with my subs and bundles from greader or feedburner would be great.
