This is a hard post for me to write. I've used FeedDemon every day since I created it back in 2003 - it's part of my daily workflow, the first thing I turn to after pouring myself a cup of coffee in the morning. I've thoroughly enjoyed working on it and I'm grateful for all of the people who paid for it over the years despite free alternatives.... more »

Make a feed be automatically marked as read?

I have a few feeds that post an enormous amount of stuff and I don't care to check them everyday, just once in a while. I want it to keep updating without having appear in my unread list. Any way to make a feed automatically mark new posts as read?

Feedbin.me backend?

I know development has been halted, but any way we could sponsor a (possibly quick) code change to repoint feeddemon to use feedbin.me as a backend?
I am sure there has got to be enough users who might kick in enough to make it worth the change? Reeder on iOS is already adding support for it.
(Or, maybe the code change is just to add support for custom backends, with a notice that "hey, it may or may not work depending on the API the backend implements" - I just want star support. That's it :p)... more »

Use content filters on watches

FD Automatically Marking Folder as Read

For a while now, I have been experiencing an issue with FD automatically marking folders as read. I have my feeds stored in various folders in FD. To advance from one folder to the next, I click once on 'Next Unread' on the bottom right hand side of the FD interface. This is very convenient because it marks the folder I just read as read. Hello, Is there any possibility to use *two* content filters for feeds : *one* "if articles *contain *any of the keyboards listed" and *the other* "if articles *don't* *contain *any of the keyboards listed" Else, it could be a nice feature ;-) Thanks a lot.
