In the past two days, I've lost over 400 subscribers. I've made no
changes to my site.

It appears all of the subscribers lost are from the Google
Feedfetcher. It would be nice to understand that the issue is being
looked at and is a known issue by the development team (and that my
subscriber data will be restored) -- hello, anyone out there?

I just came across this FAQ - might be of interest (for me too,
because I have lost over 1/2 my subscribers... http://mungobah.blogspot.com)

http://www.google.com/support/feedburner/bin/answer.py?answer=126303&cbid=-ygnkeihmmsts&src=cb&lev=answer

"Will I lose all my subscribers in this process?

You should not lose any readers of your feed during this transition
process. All feeds.feedburner.com URLs will redirect your readers to
feeds hosted by Google. Your readers will continue to receive your
feeds. However, the reporting and analytics may take up to a week to
adjust to internet traffic changes, so the number of subscribers you
see in analytics reports may be lower for a short period of time.

In addition, the algorithms we use to calculate subscribers and reach
at Google are more accurate and up to date than the algorithms
previously used at FeedBurner.com, so your numbers will not be exactly
the same before and after the transfer. We are constantly tuning our
analytics to ensure they are accurate and correct for our publishers,
but going forward we are only doing this within the Google
environment. "

I'm in the same boat as you are. Since April 1, I've lost ALL Google
Feedfetcher subscribers (which accounted for 80% of my total
subscriber base) AND Google Reader no longer updates my feed. This is
a very bad April's Fool Day joke!!

Hellooooooooo?

Anyone out there in Google Feedburner Tech Support Land???

Oh, wait. There is no Google Feedburner Tech Support Land. It's just a
giant black hole to nowhere.

Hi Mungo,

Thanks for digging up the FAQ. However, I migrated off Feedburner
MONTHS ago. So my question to Google would be - why am I losing
subscribers NOW? Not that I think Google will answer, I'm just
throwing it out there.

Also, for me it seems the opposite of some of the rest of you - it
looks like I'm missing my email subscribers, not my feed subscribers.
The number missing from yesterday is exactly my number of email
subscribers.

I am experiencing the same problem! I've lost 90% of my subscribers
in the last two days. Will this problem be fixed soon?

I've lost two-thirds of my subscribers overnight, most of them from
Google Feedfetcher. Having been forced to migrate from the original
(and better) Feedburner some months ago, I had expected to see the
last of these sudden drops in subscriber levels. Are those subscribers
now lost to me? Do they know we're no longer cosy? Have I been cast
into the outer darkness? And so on...

*sigh*

i find it relatively ridiculous that google can't talk to google.

Same problem here, and nothing fixes it - not even resyncing the
feeds. I am so tired of this!

I moved my account from feedburner months ago, and haven't had any
problems until today and now 70% of subscribers have disappeared. Is
someone working on this? If anyone has had this happen before with the
problems, did you ever get them back?

Same here. I lost 500 subscribers over night a day ago, and they're
still not back today.

I have the same problem, Apr 1 stats were fine, Apr 2: 420 subscribers
suddenly are gone.

April 1 Google Feedfetcher: 427
April 2 Google Feedfetcher: 7

Me too. The other day I had 831 subscribers and today I'm down to
205!

I have to say that I feel better knowing I'm not the only one.
Hopefully Feedburner gets this fixed soon.

Hello, I've the same problem - since March 31, I lost over 800
subscribers!
What's wrong here? Is google not able to make a good and seamless
transition from feedburner? What's going on?
It's a shame to present 22 subscribers now on the blog - but I'm still
hoping for a fast solution of this problem before removing the
feedburner-statistic logo on site...

I too am having problems with Google Fetcher, but I believe it is only
with reporting. My stats show 700 subscribers have disappeared, all
from Google Fetcher. But I subscribe to my own blog and am still
getting the feeds on Reader, plus the traffic to my site hasn't
dropped at all, so I am pretty sure they are still getting the Feed,
they just aren't being reported.

Hopefully it will be fixed in a few days or so...sooner rather than
later!

I do not understand, the same same problem is still persisting for
almost ten days in my blog now. I lost most of the Google Fetcher...

Anybody still has the same case?

What is Google doing about it?
