hey guys,
i set up my feedburner account last week, and have really enjoyed using the service so far...good job!
http://feeds.feedburner.com/thepopcast
that said, i've been having some difficulties in understanding the subscribers stats, so i had a look thru the forums, and this post was very helpful in understanding how they work -
http://forums.feedburner.com/viewtopic.php?t=4008 - well worth a look if you're having difficulties with them too....
i was wondering whether it would be possible for feedburner to develop a clearer stat for the total number of subscribers?; rather than just recent stats, or averages, something which gives an overall view; at the moment, the stats can only update when a subscriber's podcatcher is open, and obv not every subscriber will be online at the same time - so perhaps a using a ping or similar once every 24hrs, feedburner could check the total # of existing subscribers with each podcatching service to give a guesstimate?
the problem with just relying on the 'high waterline' on the stats is that if someone unsubscribes, how would i realise that?
is this possible, or just much easier said than done?
thanks x
