Podcast Feed not returned in iTunes search

All is working well with my feed and I have smartcast, smartfeed etc
all activated. I can subscribe to the podcast manually in iTunes
(advanced > Subscribe to podcast > past 'feed') but when I search on
any of the search terms i cannot locate the podcast in iTunes.

This makes it extremely difficult to publicise.

Have I done something wrong or is it something additional I need to
do?

so doing some digging it may be a case of my feed not being a
feeds2.feedburner feed but rather a feeds.feedburner feed. Is that
contributing to the issue? how do I change it to a feeds2 feed?
