hello,
I've been reading this for a while and have thought about even longer. COme on people. Give a break. Roger have been no 1 for a long time and sooner or later the time would come. He started loosing so what? He is not invincible!!!!!! and come on. He have been playing tennis since he was 7 so he defenetely know how to do it! And Jojo do you really thing that he isn't working out? That he really isn't trying to win and get the shape up? Ok, you are concerned, so we all are. But really ask yourself a question: Don't you go a little over a top? Roger is sad after loosing, that's natural. Didn't you all felt disipointed once in a while? And he is playing for such big deal (all wathing his steps, and there's a big money involwed, worldwide events). SO it must suck! But saying "Roger knows he let it slip away from him"? Did he say so? DO you know him in person to give such a statment??? If so I give you all the credid. But I don't think you do!!!!! I admire your determination and believe that you know what is best for Roger, I just hope that it doesn't eat you alive.
I'm just simple Roger fan: I'm happy when he's winnig, sad when he looses. I enjoy watching him play and maybe my support means something or maybe not. I don't feel that I stand and whatch doing nothing because who am I to give advise to no. 1 tennis player? I wouldn't also take his advise because, with all do respect, he know nothing about my job!!!!!!!
And look at the facts he came to semis in Assie - sorry for me it's not really the disaster, in fact is quite good for someone who "has a problem ".
And we should remember there is one thing we share: we all want Roger to keep winning, that make as a team: Roger Federer's fans.

take care
Joanna

2008 Aussie Open Semi Finals flashback press conference: Roger admitted that
the turning point was when he let a 5-4 1st set lead dissipate after having
just broken Djokovich. Federer was eventually broken twice in a row to lose
the set 7-5, and together with that, his title hopes).

Believe me when I tell you that Roger KNOWS what could have been.

And it works both ways: 2007 US Open Semis flashback: Djokovich had so many
set points against Roger on 2 different sets and Novak lost both sets (7-6).

Believe me when I tell you Roger also KNOWS what could have been.

And if you are a student of the game, you would too.

Oh and one more thing, observe how Federer now gets irritated more than ever
during his matches, whether it be missed volleys, mishits, service being
broken, etc. Tennis broadcasters have commented on this.

Believe me when I tell you Roger KNOWS.

Don't underestimate Roger..he KNOWS.

I just hope that it doesn't eat you alive.

Don't worry, it doesn't.  After seeing his performances at Wimbledon and the
US Open, I could see the writing on the wall.

I've learned to accept it.

Roger WILL surpass Sampras' record of 14 slams.it will just take him a
little longer to do it.  I was predicting and (still am) hoping he'd break
it this year.  Maybe next year.

And Roger will be the greatest tennis player.ever.

And I do hope that he does not overstay like what Agassi did (Andre should
have retired 2 years earlier).

I don't feel that I stand and whatch doing nothing because who am I to give

So this is what it's come to...we're back to the 15th century. Is the
Spanish Inquisition still alive and kicking?  I cannot say anything?

To quote Greg Gutfeld, host of Red Eye (Fox News Channel): "And if you
disagree with me then you, sir, are worse than Hilter."

To Roger: Feel free to accept or reject whatever advice comes your way. Do
what you feel is best for you and your career.  You don't want to listen?
Okay by me.

All this started with my suggestion of Roger getting a coach.  Then everyone
starts giving me a mouthful that I know better than him. Hell, I'm just
voicing an opinion. Federer does not get a coach.he wins 17 grand slams.
Federer gets a coach.he wins 24 slams.

It's that simple.

hi Jojo
If it was Spanish Inquisition you would have people by your door allready kicking. And we all still try to talk to you.
In my opinion(if I can have one) Roger gets nervous so often because the things doesn't go the way he wants. But in this game there are two players, so don't give him all the credit for loosing. NOvak is good and talented- he won because he deserved it not because Roger was not in shape!!!!!! And knowing which point was significant doesn't exactly mean that he let it slip. Knowing doesn't mean doing.
If you were a student of the human being, you would know.
I don't underestimate Roger because I know he is genius in analisis. If he won this point or that point the game could go the different way -that is what Roger always says. But he always have someone oposit him who also analises and wants to win and sometime he can do nothing to prevent it. Simple as that.
And as it goes for Agassi, I'm glad he kept playing. It was always a pleasure to whatch he and he end up being no. 7 (as I recall) so not bad for a guy who should have retired 2 years earlier.
And don't worry Jojo Roger will win and loose with or without your approval.
Take care.

This is the month of April.

Four months into the year, Federer has yet to win a title, much less get
past a semi finals match.

And against Roddick, Roger let it slip away from him again, being broken at
love at 3-4 in the 3rd set.

Roger, for the nth time, get a coach!!! It's gonna do wonders for you and
your game.
