First impressions re FBreader

Just finished reading the 1904 novel Calumet "K" [1904...] my FIRST ebook, using FBreader on Vista64 running n a laptop w/ 14 inch screen. It was delightful! As a first time FBreader user, a couple of useability notes: 1) out of the box, it would be friendly to guide the new user to adjust the font and font size.... more »

I've been using FBReaderJ for Android for about a year now and I love it. I have a huge collection of DRM-free ebooks and have been able to enjoy them first on my G1 and now on my Milestone. How to adjust font and text size

I am just starting with FBReader on Windows. (plan to also use w/Ubuntu). I am puzzled that I can't figure out how to change the font or font size in FBReader. My eyes are imperfect. ;) be well --- Ron K. Jeffries [link]

epub and DRM and Android

My public library lends digital books, some of which are in epub format, others in Mobipocket, others in Adobe PDF. The epub books are supposed to be usable on the Sony Reader, but fbreader doesn't recognize them at all. In contrast, eReader sees them and says they have DRM. Is there any way to read them on Android using fbreader?... more »

Hi All, I've builded a test version of 0.12.1 packages for SmartQ device. At the moment I have 1 report from a SmartQ 5 user that this version works well on his device. I'm not sure about SmartQ 7. Could you please provide me information on how to compile the FBReader in windows? Is it compiled in VC or using GCC via Cygwin? What are the prerequisites?

Not able to read prc files on my Archos 5 internet tablet. I have been using the FBreaderj but it does not open this file. [link]. Please help. Regards, Manu

FBreader can't find books on Droid

I can't read books with FBreader on the Droid. I even tried what someone suggested, which was downloading it from the Web site rather than from the Market. The books download, but FBreader can't see them. Is it perhaps because I also downloaded the Aldiko reader? The epub format books I download go into SDCard/eBooks, which is where Aldiko likes them. I even copied them to SDCard/Books, but no matter what I do, fbreader can't find anything but its own info screen.... more »
