FBReader Language for Encoding Detection (no english?)

In the FBReader options menu under the general tab there is a drop
down list for "Language for encoding detection" and mine does not list
English. Should it? I have Chinese, Czech, Russian and Other. Is this
normal? I am using the latest port of FBReader on my N770 (OS2006).

Yes, it is normal. For Russian (also for Czech and Chinese) there are
several
essentially different encodings. For English, all encodings are very
similar, so
we don't try do detect correct encoding. If you read books in English,
set this
option to 'Other'.
