The .install for FBReader current has a blank distribution field,
which defaults to the current distribution in Maemo, for Diablo users,
this is "diablo". Unfortunately, FBReader's repository does not have a
Diablo entry, meaning users have to edit this field to read "chinook"
to get the repository to work.

This is a difficult task for new users, and is preventing a lot of
people from installing FBReader under Diablo. There are a few possible
solutions to this, fix the .install to read "chinook", fix the
repository to include a "diablo" distribution, or (the correct and
most helpful solution), upload FBReader and its dependencies to Maemo
Extras (http://extras-cauldron.garage.maemo.org/HOWTO.html) so we can
do away with having a single repository just for FBReader and users
with new devices will be able to install FBReader right off.

Hopefully this will be resolved soon.

Thanks for pointing that out.

I made a quick fix (a symlink from 'diablo' to 'chinook'), but I
can't test it right now. I'd appreciate if you could tell if it works
out.

The reason why we did not upload FBReader to 'extras' repositories was
quite simple: it was impossible to see download statistics. Now the
situation is different and we are going to check it out to see if it
suits our needs.

Any progress here? Extras has really been picking up lately, and it'd
be nice to get everything possible in there.

No, not really. We will probably try to do something with the next
version of FBReader. Sorry, no ETA for it at the moment.

Any progress? For some reason you have a newer version of bzip2 than
ships with the system included in your repository, and it's screwing
with some people's SSU upgrades. . . .

As I mentioned, we will start using extras with the next release and
no ETA for it is available. :((

I investigated the problem a bit and could not find the reason for
this failure :(( The problem strongly suggests we should separate the
repositories, however as with the next release we will start using
extras, the problem should go away...
