Hi

I can't get FBreader to locate my memory card. In the preferences of
FBreader I have /media/mmc1/books. And on my memory card I have the
folder books. I am using maemo 2006 and FB reader 2006.

When I click "add to library" I see /boot and the blue folder followed
by a few dots. When I click on this folder the following subfolders
appear: .osso, bin, dev, etc, home. When I click home I see fbreader,
bookmarks, etc. When I click fbreader it takes me back to .home/user/
reader.

I tried using xterm but can't get it to work. I changed he directory
using the CD command to \media\mmc1/books and then typed LS, which
listed all the files. How do I get xterm to connect Fbreader to \media
\mmc1\books.

I was told that I don't need xterm and that FBreader should read my
memory automatically, but this does not happen here.

I rteally would be very gratefulto get some help after a 3-day
struggle.

/media/mmc1 is the internal memory card. You want to direct FBReader to
/media/mmc2 which is the user-added memory card.

I have a 2 gig external memory card. I didn't know there was an
internal memory card. I have my FBreader in the internal memory,
which is callled "device". Where do I find this inernal memory card?

I can't see an internal memory card. My programs stored in
"device" (FBreader, for example), and my documents are stored on the 2
gig memory card.

I tried your way, but no luck.

What device is this ? My answer is appropriate for a Nokia 770. Check
/media in the FileManager for attached devices.

Actually, the 770 indeed has only one MMC slot (a half-height at that).
The rest is flash memory, not an internal card. I don't remember
how IT OS 2005 saw it (I flashed my 770 with 2006 as soon as it was out,
and it now has 2007); I think it was /media/mmc.

Of course, OS 2006+ had support for /media/mmc1&2, since it was written
with the n800 in mind.

Hi again. I'm still puzzling over my FBreader. Meanwhile, I'd like to
change my os 2006 to os 2007. I downloaded the 0s 2007 hacker edition
with a .php extension. I am using the Nokia internet download wizard.
When it asks me whether I want to change the source file I say yes.
The wizard is looking for a .bin file, so, as you know, the .php
extension needs to be changed to a .bin extension. Is there a simple
way of doing this that does not involve a lot of programming. If I
have to do programming, could you help me with the commands and what
programme to use for the coding.

I really am grateful for your help - and patience.

Warge, the place to ask that question would be teh Internet Tablet
Talk forums, don't you think? http://www.internettablettalk.com/ If
you have actually got a copy of the 2007 hack there and not just a
link, it should be doable to simply rewrite the file extension. Change
it from .php to .bin.
