Great show. &lt;br&gt; &lt;p&gt;I was pretty impressed by both singers. Allen was quite a showman. Iced &lt;br&gt; Earth&#39;s new singer? Man, the dude has some serious range.   Hey Mark. &lt;br&gt; 1. Yes, S-X... spot on! &lt;br&gt; 2. Give Cynthesis a try... then move over to Zero Hour (in that order, haha!) &lt;br&gt; 3. I love Portnoy, but honestly, I&#39;m not missing him on here... and I grew up with DT. ;-) &lt;br&gt; 4. We&#39;ll just have to agree to disagree! The music is good, but I rue the thinking of &amp;quot;Imagine what this would sound like with Ray singing!&amp;quot; The melodies and emotional impact of Rays voice just is much more relatable for me. With Arch, it&#39;s still painful whining and I&#39;m imagining faeries and dragons. His voice still has that D&amp;amp;D/Fantasy style to it that I never really got into. Great guy though, and the music is cool. I guess NEVER have being a fan, this won&#39;t change anyone&#39;s mind?

  Good to see things are percolating here in Fates land, whether it&#39;s Redemption or A/M... or soon, OSI! &lt;br&gt; For me, recent haul includes: &lt;br&gt; 1. Symphony-X: Iconoclast (good, solid CD... really, typical S-X... if you liked the last few, you&#39;ll like this.) &lt;br&gt; 2. Cynthesis: Imagine Zero Hour in their ambient phase with original singer, Eric Rosvold, back to fronting the band, remove most of the overt prog-metal elements, toss in great vocal melodies and you have a kick ass CD.
