Hello! First off, if (like me) you missed last month's Learners' Group, you should check out Hal's lovely recap of "Sacred Harp as a General Practice" on the blog: http://ucbsacredharp.blogspot.com/2012/03/learners-group-sacred-harp-as-generous.html

We will meet again tomorrow at All Saint's from 7-7:30. Julian Damashek, chair of the upcoming Golden Gate singing, will be on hand to talk about what you can expect at an all-day singing! New and experienced singers alike, please join the discussion about how we can make this year's singing spectacular. And as always, bring your burning questions - about this weekend's events or general sacred harp topics.

FYI, minutes of the 2011 Golden Gate singing are available here:
http://fasola.org/minutes/search/?n=3579

And last, I notice no one has signed up for snack tomorrow. It's not too late...

Oops, sorry to spam you but I just had to correct my typo - calling it "Sacred Harp as a General Practice" did not do justice to Hal's session!  His topic was actually: "Sacred Harp as a GENEROUS Practice." Here's that link again.

....and, for any singers new to singing conventions or all-day singings, one of the founding mothers of the Golden Gate Singing (Natalia Cecire) compiled a very helpful Convention Etiquette page, available here: http://bayareasacredharp.org/convention-etiquette.html
