I’m not sure on how authentic Chipotle’s work is, but the message is strong and good: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aMfSGt6rHos

What do you think?

Jeremy,

This is very interesting. I visited their website. They promote
"food with integrity". This is food, as they say, raised with respect
for the animals, environment, and farmers. I don't know how big this
chain is. It looks like they have quite a few restaurants around the
country. There are some in southern Wisconsin.

This is very interesting indeed. It looks like they are doing "all the right things" to whatever extent is possible for a chain operation with over 1000 stores.

I do also find it interesting though that there is no mention in their "timeline" (on the website) of the years during which McDonalds had a majority interest in the company (starting with a minority holding in 1998 according to Wikipedia article). I didn't even know that McDonalds had divested itself of that, but they did, in 2006, to the tune of 1.5 billion.

Hey All!
I'm looking at developing a Sustainable Agriculture program for a technical college: perhaps a certificate, perhaps eventually a major.

Can anyone recommend exemplary programs at a two-year school?

Thanks!

Hi Claire,

There is a fantastic program at the Northeast Technical College in Green Bay.  I recently met the instructor and she is willing and happy to share her curriculum.  Her name is Valerie Dantoin and her email address is valerie...@nwtc.edu.

Best of luck!

Claire, I’m guessing you know about  Valerie Dantoin and the program she’s involved with through the technical school system?

I believe Farmshed is also talking to MSTC … talk to Layne.  Sally
