I'm not convinced it will help move shares of vegetables nor find
people who want to do vegetable workouts. David Pogue of NYTimes
confirms Facebook is for a younger demographic, Twitter is more geezer-
oriented.

Perhaps if I was in the frozen pizza plus beer business, FB might be a
good networking tool?

I don't know, Bobby, I've read a couple of articles about how facebook has been taken up by the older folks -- while I was in Israel last summer, I was "friended" by an 87-year-old member of our church, who then "wrote on my wall".  She has since decided she prefers email, though.

And my kids (19, 22, 25) pretty much ignore facebook.  I use it, but am not totally fond of it -- still seems like an odd medium to me.  But I tried twitter for a little while and it felt utterly self-involved.

Peace,
Susan Zencka

Hey, Guy (or whoever does web work), you could get more Facebook fans
if you stick this logo on the home page for Emy J's: You can rip this
graphic button off our web site and just insert it in your HTML source
code using your website editing software, put it wherever you want it
on the page so peoples can see it:

(i ripped it off the Automatic Earth site)

Rev. Zencka,

I concur--Twitter only works as a network site if people will have a
balanced number of followers and those they're following.
for instance...
I notice that Rob Hopkins of "Transition Towns" fame only follows one
person, while a slew of people follow him:
http://twitter.com/robintransition

hardly seems like a way to keep your "ear to the ground" and get
feedback from a wide range of peeps, eh?

Susan,

I've come 'round to the notion that with that resource, one actually
ought to be following many more ppl than are following you. I know the
big media egos want it the other way.

But I find that I can use it as a resource which is full of stuff
that's not inconsequential.

Here's a person who does consulting to not-for-profits who always has
tons of useful informative links for example

peace back,
