Indeed best way is to compare to existing role that can do the stuff
you need, if you changed it all then use a fresh install to check on
that (been there). I suggest you try those mentioned permissions i
stated above, this is how i created a custom role for shop customers
that only should have a few permissions including editing their own
profile, it works!
