I am using Farcry 4.0.9 for my development and I have noticed that
content pending approval and even content in draft is not displayed on
the user's overview page. Are there any settings I need to change for
this information to appear? I have checked the user profile settings,
the config files and permissions and nothing seems to be responsible
for this.

Well something is responsible for it, it just has to be :)
Logged in as a sysadmin can you view those items?
If so, then it's really a permission related thing.

Hi Marco,
I am actually a sysadmin and can not see content in draft. I have
created a piece of content (dmEvent instance) and did not appear in
the list. What I have also noticed is that only dmNavigation content
types appear in the list. I have specialised the others like dmNews,
dmEvent and added my own custom types and all instances of these types
do not appear. Could this be where the problem is?

Hi,

I ran into a similar issue, and the fix was hard to track down. I just retraced my steps (I think) that made things work.

On lines 71-76 of the file /core/packages/farcry/_workflow/getObjectsPendingApproval.cfm,

There are two statements that create the same output table from different SQL settings. You'll notice that not all the columns are in the same order. Specifically, createdby and lastupdatedby are switched in the second. What I did was switch those and I believe that is all I had to do to make things work for me. Now, this was for FC5.0, but I don't think this specific code changed between 4 and 5.

Let me know if that solves your problem as well.

Ok, i don't know how it's setup and specialized etc, so bit hard to
say from here, but if a untouched core type works as it should, so if
dmNavigation is untouched and is working properly, then there must be
something missing.

You might could setup a new project, check dmNews if it shows
correctly and then compare settings.

I really don't know where to start debugging this, maybe someone else
had experienced such same problem before?

I have similar problems in 5-1-3. The default number of items to list
in draft state seems to be 5. I have noticed that I can have objects
in draft state that are not showing in the list. However if I change
the number of items to list to say 10 then they appear. If I change it
back to 5 they remain in view.

Did the answer of Tomek above in this thread reflects the same issue
(and maybe explanation) ?

I Have tried Tomek's work around and it seems it has solved my
problem. I am currently also monitoring to see if the behaviour will
remain and I will post a message of my observations. Thank you very
much guys!

Glad that worked! I guess I should raise it as a bug then for future users. I'll get to that tomorrow I hope
