First you need to install SVN: http://subversion.tigris.org (this is
the program for version control).
Then you need to install Tortoise Subversion: http://tortoisesvn.tigris.org
(this is a graphical interface for SVN).

Then through that graphical interface you can use a browser called the
repo browser.
This enables you to use the link: http://svn1.cvsdude.com/modius/farcry/plugins/googleMaps/trunk.

I just browsed with the repo browser and saw this link working:

http://modius.svn.cvsdude.com/farcry/plugins/googleMaps

So install the repo browser anyway so you can check such missing links
and solutions to that.

Thanks for the clerification. Am I installing this on the server, or
locally?

Think it's best installed locally as new changes are better tested
locally before using them live.
So when installed locally you can use it to get files to your local
comp and test, then upload to server.
