Sorry it's taken me awhile guys, but the final score card for 2007 is
now posted. I'm happy to announce this year's winning team....The
Axis of Eaters with 1166.5 points! They had an amazing year, with no
small thanks to their VIP Joey Chestnut. Together, their team ate
2118.25 units of food and 201.04 pounds of food. They broke 13

I'm updating the score card after an awesome Turkey Day accompanied by
a sweet Turkey Bowl. Even though you might have thought otherwise, it
turns out the cranberry sauce competition was waaay grosser to watch
than the turkeys. Maybe it was because we were watching it on very
full stomachs, but I think it was because y'all looked looked like

I think you all deserve a little rest until the next competition. The
new score card is posted and it's a good one. While the Axis is still
in the lead, the Meatsweats stay in striking distance. And it may be
only a matter of time before Team PAIN takes over the Guzzlers. The
Hooligans seem content to stay happily nestled in the middle.

Hey all, new score card posted through Tuscaloosa. There are a lot of
holes in this one, so I'm hoping you can help out if you are privy to
any total I can't find. Specifically any info on the Jackson
qualifier, since I think Marco Marquez was there. Additionally, I'll
need totals on wedges and Tim and Rich's numbers for wings. Anyone?

Even though Pat won grits, I think it's safe to say the past weekend
belonged to Mr. Tim Janus. Shit, man that grits competition has me
reeling! Almost everyone got the 20 pound bonus right off the bat
with that one (only Sonya missed out, by a fraction of a point! A
mere technicality, really.)
I'm excited for waffles.

Congrats on Wild Bill for breaking the seal on being the first to go
to 15 competitions this year! He's officially the most prolific eater
on the circuit.
And a shout out to Allen Goldstein, who put everyone's whispers to

Whew, this one almost killed me! Be sure to check it for accuracy...
Congrats to Hall, Rich, and Tim Janus for putting up killer personal
bests last weekend, and to Tim for breaking that record. The rib
nugget competition was a personal best blowout, too, with Pat, Joey,
Erik D., Rich, and Jason Erb all pounding past numbers. Nicely done.

quantities count? The event was not on the competition schedule, and

So, how do you think we should score the Krystal qualifiers? I'm
thinking each major qualifier will be scored the same as we did for
Nathan's, but what about the minor qualifiers, in the case that an MLE
eater decides to go for one? Should there be contest points awarded
or just unit points for those?
