This web page for fanfiction downloader  - http://fanfictiondownloader.appspot.com/ - indicates "Downloaded stories are deleted after some time (which should give you enough of time to download it and will keep Google happy about the app not going over the storage limit)"

As I run Calibre on my home computer, and save stories to my hard drive, do I need to worry that the Calibre plug-in will delete the saved stories "after some time"?  If it will, does it delete all formats?  I have my favorite stories (the ones that I re-read the most) saved as PDF, EPUB and MOBI, so they are always available in a portable format for phone or kindle.

I'm worried about how long I can keep a story, if the program will be deleting them.  Some authors take three (3) years or more to complete one story!  And in the case of "The Marriage Stone" by Josephine Darcy, abandonned by the author, "Lynne's AU Ending to The Marriage Stone" seems to be taking almost as long to complete.

Please advise.  Thank you,
Bianca

That applies *only* to the copy stored up on the web server when you use
the web service to generate ebooks. There's only so much space
available on the web server and it's shared between all the web service
users.

Absolutely not. I have stories over a decade old in my collection.

Hope that sets your mind at ease.

*chuckles* Oh, no. That only applies to the copies that the site
caches while it's preparing them for download to your computer. Once
it's successfully downloaded to your computer, neither the web
application, the calibre plug-in, or the command-line will delete the
file for you. If you decide you don't want it, you'll have to delete
it yourself, either by selecting it in Calibre and telling calibre you
want the file deleted (Calibre will not do it automatically), or by
using the normal file deletion tools of your operating system. For
extra safety, you might consider getting a USB jumpdrive to copy any
files you want to keep as backups for safety.
