Hi brothers and sisters,
Thanksgiving is just three weeks away, we again will have a potluck dinner starting at 5:30 pm 11/27, afterwards there is a short sharing and slide show program, I guarantee there is no fake video conferencing this time. We plan to finish the night by 9:30 pm.
I attached a spreadsheet for you to sign up, please fill the sheet with the dish that you plan to bring or just reply my email. I will compile all the dishes later. Please get back to me as soon as you can. Don't forget to invite your friends to join us.
If you can help out on anything, such as decorating, moving tables, chairs, please also let me know. Please send your sharing program ideas to Yingwei, he again will host the program.
Shemin
Hello,
I realized it is impractical to ask you to tell me what to bring for potluck, and it may not be necessary anyway; so please just bring something edible, that's it.
However, I do need you to tell me if you are going to bring a turkey or drinks.
- Shemin

We have a turkey from Mark and ham from Gloria, now it feels like a Thanksgiving dinner.
Can I have a volunteer to bring healthy drinks like coke, orange juice, and the like?
Richard and I panned out the time as 5:30. I know we probably won't start at 5:30 because we are all procrastinators for different reasons. How about this - if you are willing to help to move tables, chairs, put on table cloths, then you come at 5:30 or earlier; if not, please bring your food before 6 and we say grace for the dinner at 6 sharp.
I hope all the programs will end before 9:30.
Please invite your friends. Also the long missing or former FIGers, please come.
Shemin

We have drinks now, Lyon, Roger and Annie will bring soda, juice, apple cider, cocktail.
Now I need someone to bring salad, fruits and soups (any flavors could be hot, cold, sweet), any takers?

I think we have enough soup (Zhang Ping, Belinda, Weili, Lu XIn), and salad (David Kao and Shu-Chi).
Can someone bring main course please? I especially like noodles, sesames green onion cakes, and other meat and poultry dishes; otherwsie I am afraid we are going to be stuffed with liquid food like babies. We need solid food to grow up. Veggie's good too.
Anyone?
Shemin
p.s. We will order pizza, just in case.
Hi brothers and sisters,
I did not receive much commitment for meat, but I trust your judgment. Oh, some seafood like fish, shrimp, sushi is good too.
I have two requests for you,
1. I think we will have someone(s) serve, but please supervise your children during food selection, the essential is not to waste; it is regrettable if the plate full with food is thrown to trash.
2. It is also important that you tell your children not to run around the building and make things messy such that FIG looks ugly in the eyes of ____ (fill the blank)
So happy Thanksgiving and see you tomorrow.
