Family Ice Skating (THIS SATURDAY!!)
All are welcome to join us at Winter Lodge in Palo Alto this Saturday (Feb. 11) from 5:30-7:30 p.m. for ice skating, broom hockey, hot chocolate, and more. Pay at the door ($10/individual or $25/family unit); no advance RSVPs necessary.
Family Camp Interest Meeting (THIS SUNDAY!!)
There will be an important interest meeting this Sunday (Feb. 12) at 5:45 p.m. in the Family Center to discuss plans for this year’s Family Camp at Mount Hermon over Labor Day weekend. A Mount Hermon staff member will be at the meeting to answer questions, discuss pricing options, and to describe the great benefits and amenities of the camp. All who attend the interest meeting are eligible for a $100 family discount on the price of the camp.
Child Dedication Ceremony (Sun., Mar. 18)
If you would like to participate in our next Child Dedication Ceremony in the church services on Sun., Mar. 18, please email katie.lic...@connectbcc.org. There will be a required meeting for interested parents from 10:20-10:40 a.m. (during the Fellowship Break) on Sun., Mar. 4 in the Chapel.
Special Needs Support Group (starting Sun, Mar. 18)
Parents of children with special needs are invited to attend. The intent of the group is to provide a supportive forum where parents can meet and network with others dealing with the unique challenges of parenting a child with special needs, share experiences, and receive encouragement and prayer. The group will meet from 5:45-7:15 p.m. in the Family Center on Sun., Mar. 18, Apr. 15, and May 20. Childcare for 0-5 will be provided and Buddies are available upon request, but you must RSVP ahead of time with katie.lic...@connectbcc.org.
BCC Church Picnic & Easter Egg Hunt (Sun., Apr. 1)
Where & When: Palm Sunday (Apr. 1) after the Modern Service @ Shoup Park (400 University Ave., Los Altos)
All ages are welcome to attend. Bring your own food, blankets, games, and Easter baskets (eggs will be provided). The Easter Egg Hunt will be for children 3rd grade and younger.
Reception in honor of Jeanne Stenfort (Sun., Mar. 25)
All are welcome to attend a special reception being held in honor of Jeanne Stenfort, in recognition of her many years of service to children and families at church and in the Bay area. The reception will take place from 3-5 p.m. on Sun., Mar. 25 in the Family Center. You may come and go as you like, but a formal presentation will be made at 4 p.m. Please RSVP to katie.lic...@connectbcc.org.
4th & 5th Grade Retreat (Apr. 20 and 21)
Cost: $20/person
· Friday night (4/20 at 6:30 p.m.): Drop students off at the Gym. We will serve pizza and provide snack foods during the evening. Students need to be picked up no later than 10 p.m.
· Saturday morning (4/21 at 9:30 a.m.): Please have your student eat breakfast before dropping them off. We will be taking students to an off-campus scavenger hunt, which will be followed by lunch at McDonald’s. The cost for lunch is included in the $20 registration. Students need to be picked up at the Gym no later than 2 p.m.
· We need adult chaperones for either or both Friday and Saturday. Please let Steve Durand know if you can help.
